It’s not you, its me…..

First off I want to start off by saying this is not quite a shoe post but I had to share. I will post some pictures of some shoes at the end for good measure.shoe-miracle-dior-and-i-raf
Have you ever been in a relationship that was going really well and seemed to getting better with each day. Only to have your boyfriend or girlfriend out of nowhere, decide they want to break up with you. And to make matters worse, they give you the “It’s not you, it’s me” speech.

Well then you know exactly how I felt last week when I saw the news that Raf Simons was leaving Dior. I literally walked around for the rest of the afternoon like my dog died (well at least I think this is how I would have felt if I had a dog and it died). I have been a fan of Dior for as long as I can remember but I really fell in love with Dior under Raf’s tenure. With each new collection, I found myself more and more excited to see what creations he would come up with next and of course I loved the shows and of the course the amazing floral displays. I can’t really put my finger on what is was about Raf’s Dior that resonated with me. Maybe it was his artistic sensibility and how it translated to the clothing. Maybe it is simply his modern take on clothing from a house with such rich history. Whatever it was, I fell in love hard and fast. I can’t even begin to think about who will take his place.

As promised here are some of my favorite shoe moments from Raf’s tenure.
