shoe-miracle-manolo-blahnik-imageThe Manolo Blahnik boutique has taken its final markdown on sale items.  Beginning today just prices have been slashed up to 75%.  The sale ends on Thursday so this is the perfect time to pick up those winter boots or shoes you have had your eyes on.   Details are below.

Wishlist Wednesday – Francesco Russo Braided Patent Leather Sandals

I have Spring on the brain and for several good reasons.  All of last week’s snow has pretty much melted away and the groundhog did not see his shadow.  So I find myself fantasizing about warmer weather and all of the wonderful shoes that it will bring.  If you have read my blog before you know that I am having a not so secret love affair with Francesco Russo and after perusing the SS16 collection it doesn’t look it is going to end anytime soon.  It is simply amazing.  One of my favorites are these black patent leather braided sandals which will look great with basically anything.  I definitely foresee another visit to 8 Rue de Valois in the near future.

Now is the time to shop the Manolo Blahnik sale

shoe-miracle-manolo-blahnik-imageThe Manolo Blahnik semi-annual sale started a few weeks ago but prices were a mere 33% off.  The boutique just slashed prices to 50% off this week. So, today would be a good day to take a long lunch especially if you have had your eye on a pair of shoes or boots and don’t want to wait until February rolls around to snap them up. Details are below. As always, I will send an up when the final markdown occurs.  Until then…happy shopping!

Wishlist Wednesday – Tom Ford Cutout Sandal

Yesterday was so cold that I was basically ready to give up on life.   In fact, I was all set to post a pair of winter boots in anticipation of the blizzard that is being forecast for this weekend. But, then I was scrolling through my Instagram and came across these lovelies.   They basically gave me the will to live another day or at least until I can slip my feet into these shoes. Feast your eyes on these cutout sandals and join me in thanking Mr. Ford for giving me life yet again.

Is this your new basic pump?

shoe-miracle-dior-dioressence

It’s no secret that I love special and unique shoes particularly if they are done in an exotic skin. Exotics are my cryptonite. But every woman needs a basic pump in her life and I am no different. Over the years my ideal basic pump has evolved and shifted. For a long time it was the Jimmy Choo Abel. Then it was Louboutin’s Decollete. Now it is Gianvito Rossi’s Pitone pump.

The release of Dior’s Dioressence pump last week got me thinking that I may be adding another to my roster.  I am still in love with my Gianvito Rossi Pitones. But, it is nice to have some variety and the Dioressence with its sexy curved heel just might be what I am looking for.  It doesn’t hurt that comes in some of my favorite colors of the rainbow.

Wishlist Wednesday – Jimmy Choo Davy Boot

So I know that it is cold outside and I should totally post a practical pair of boots for Wishlist Wednesday. But, I have never been the practical type so I am posting what I love instead. Today’s wishlist pick is Jimmy Choo’s Davy boot. I have never been brave enough to get behind the open-toe boot trend but if I was I would definitely be wearing these boots.  Enjoy!

What are your shoe resolutions for 2016?

shoe-miracle-shoe-resolutionsSo I am just finalizing my shoe resolutions or my intentions which seems to be the latest buzzword. Even though it is still early January, it feels like I am running late for some reason.  I totally planned to send these out last week but I was kind of sick. Not sure if my sickness was an extreme holiday hangover or a bonafide illness. But I am back on my feet so here goes.

This year’s resolutions kind of flow from what I learned trying to stick with last year’s resolutions. I think I was fairly successful. I finally got a pair of Valentino rockstuds which I love and are as comfortable as everyone says they would be. I even Kondo’d my closet (which I am now affectionately calling the “Great Purge”).  I even donated and sold a number of shoes. Continue reading
