Wishlist Wednesday – Manolo Blahnik Kahika Bootie

I have never been a fan of open-toe or cut-out booties.  Mostly because, I just didn’t get the notion of booties that are not really booties.  After seeing these floral cut-out booties by Manolo Blahnik, I get it now.  The only thing really left to say is please and thank you.

Spring has sprung….finally!

Spring has definitely sprung in NYC and I couldn’t be happier.  The whole week has been simply beautiful.  I just pray that it lasts because I am already thinking about all of the shoes I want to wear.  There are so many.  If you don’t believe me just take a look at my Pinterest account.  Anyways, I thought it would be better to start off with the pumps I would love to break out.

Manolo Final Cut Sale

Manolo has done its final markdown on its Fall/Winter collection in its NYC boutique.  The sale runs from today until this Thurs.  Shoes are up to 75% off and prices range from $195 – $350.  Most shoes and low boots are priced at $250.  This is actually my favorite time to shop for Manolos.  I think the prices and finds (particularly in my size) are better than what one would find at a sample sale.  I actually forgo the sample sales and wait for these final cut sales.

You may encounter lines to get in but usually not too long and its worth the wait.  Do yourself a favor and head on over there.  The boutique is open from 10:30am – 6pm but please note that they do close down 2-3pm everyday to restock.  Happy Shopping!

Beauty Editor loses it at Manolo Blahnik Sample Sale!

When I first moved to NYC, I loved going to sample sales. It was the easiest way for me to satisfy my desire for designer goods without breaking the bank. I can tell you first hand that they can get crazy and the women can be ruthless so it didn’t come as a surprise to me to see that a WWD Beauty Editor lost it at the Manolo sample sale this week. Page Six reports that beauty editor Julie Naughton was spotted “screaming” and “bullying” other editors who were trying to cut in line. Yikes! I hope she walked away with some great shoes after this incident.
