I have Spring on the brain and for several good reasons. All of last week’s snow has pretty much melted away and the groundhog did not see his shadow. So I find myself fantasizing about warmer weather and all of the wonderful shoes that it will bring. If you have read my blog before you know that I am having a not so secret love affair with Francesco Russo and after perusing the SS16 collection it doesn’t look it is going to end anytime soon. It is simply amazing. One of my favorites are these black patent leather braided sandals which will look great with basically anything. I definitely foresee another visit to 8 Rue de Valois in the near future.
When I saw these flat python printed slides from Zara, I knew I had to have them. They are not actual python which I am partial to but the print effect is well done. Plus they are pink and only $36. So frankly, it’s a win-win in my book. I am thinking about also adding some of the other colors to my collection as well.
Sunshine really is the best medicine for the soul. At least it is for me being a summer baby and all. If the sun is not shining where you are do yourself a favor and get these yellow chain link yellow Aquazurra sandals. Heck, even if the sun is shining where you are buy these sandals! I guarantee they will be all the sunshine you need and will make you feel as if you are lying out with the sun beaming down on your face. and who doesn’t need that feeling.
I have a little bit of winter fatigue and am Iiterally 2 keystrokes away from booking a beach getaway. I need to feel a little warmth and these shoes are precisely the shoes that I would love to be wearing wherever I might find myself. So this week’s Wishlist Wednesday pick is a simple pair of Gianvito Rossi bronze metallic cork sandals. Here’s to my new sandals and beach dreaming.
This week’s Wishlist Wednesday pick is Christian Louboutin’s Pensamoi Sandal. It is only fitting since Valentine’s Day is this week and these shoes remind me of a bouquet of flowers. In fact, I would much rather have a pair of these instead of flowers for Valentine’s Day. Hope you enjoy my version of flowers!
Today’s Wishlist Wednesday pick is a pair of Gianvito Rossi lace sandals. These sandals are romantic and whimsical all at the time with just the right amount of sexiness. I find myself falling deeper and deeper in love with the fan back that Rossi is doing with a lot of his pumps. The combination of the lace and the fan back is just spectacular with this shoe. I think they would be perfect paired with a little black dress for Valentine’s Day dinner or even leather leggings for a night on the town.
So please forgive me but I am having a bit of a love affair with Francesco Russo at the moment. He shoes are just so sexy to me. So this week’s Wishlist Wednesday pick is another Francesco Russo confection and trust me it is worth it. I don’t really love blue and I have never really fancied (sorry I am writing from London this week) a pair of blue suede shoes. But these shoes have me thinking twice. You tell me…am I crazy? I don’t think so.
I have always loved animal print but I am a little obsessed with it at this very moment. There is not a pair of leopard shoes or a bag that I don’t want to bring home with me. So obviously when I came across this pair of leopard-print calf hair sandals from newcomer Francesco Russo, the drool commenced. And no, I didn’t bring home me. Well not yet at least. Russo started his line in 2014 and mark my words he is a designer that I will be keeping my eyes on because I expect many more drool worthy shoes from his line. In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful sandal I know, I will.

So it’s cold and snowy here in NYC today and all I can do is think back to warmer weather and of course throwing on a pair of sandals and kicking back in the sun. Paul Andrew’s Delphi sandal in python would be my pick. I thought I was in love with the Delphi when I first saw it in red suede but the python really steals my heart. Here’s to Shoesday and sandal weather.
