First off thank you for 2015. I am forever grateful that you all decided to not only follow me but that you continue to come back to check out what I have to say and of course look at pictures of some beautiful shoes. I promise to continue to share my love of shoes with you in this new year.
And so the adventure that we call 2016 begins today. I hope that you will continue to join me on this ShoeMiracle adventure. Here’s to an amazing 2016 and wishing you all of the blessings that your heart can stand.
I started hosting Easter lunch for my friends a few years back. This past year, my most fashionable friend showed up dressed to the nines and wearing the most beautiful pink suede shoes. Of course, I was running around barefoot wearing an apron. Her shoes were so beautiful that I almost hated having her remove them. But my house is a shoeless household. Seeing them hanging out by the door every time I went to let in another arriving guest did give me great pleasure. I was able to take a mental picture over and over again. Continue reading
Mo’Ne Davis, the young phenom, who was the first female pitcher to win a Little League World Series game has partnered with Make a Difference Everyday and Because I am a Girl to release a sneaker that will help impoverished young girls. The sneakers which will boast stitching reminiscent of that you will find on baseballs will retail for $75. At the young age of 13 this young lady is proving to be a role model in her outright and not just for young girls. Professional athletes could learn a thing or two from this young woman.
When I came across this quote posted in the Brooklyn Museum’s Killer Heels exhibit I was completely spellbound. In one sentence, Roger Vivier captured how I felt about shoes and frankly why so many little girls fall in love with the story of Cinderella and her glass slipper. No need to say more. The quote speaks for itself. Hope you are beginning to make your dreams a reality even if its just the dream of a new pair of shoes.
I have always loved animal print but I am a little obsessed with it at this very moment. There is not a pair of leopard shoes or a bag that I don’t want to bring home with me. So obviously when I came across this pair of leopard-print calf hair sandals from newcomer Francesco Russo, the drool commenced. And no, I didn’t bring home me. Well not yet at least. Russo started his line in 2014 and mark my words he is a designer that I will be keeping my eyes on because I expect many more drool worthy shoes from his line. In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful sandal I know, I will.
